Our growing methods
Our growing process, from sterilisation to harvesting, we assert is safe enough that our mushroom eaters won’t get sick from our produce. We use rigorous food safety practices aimed at preventing bacteria (and even viruses) from infiltrating our mushrooms.
These safety practices include: sanitisation of all objects (including skin) that come into contact with the mycelium, pressure-based sterilisation of growing substrate for longer than recommended, wearing of N95 face masks when handing mycelium in the open air, and purifying air using HEPA-grade filtering equipment. This is in addition to food requirements (derived from the Act and the Code) that we comply with.
